Hi all!
Here's the one I'm working on now. New site. Only the first page is ready. I'm working on the others now. I really liked Scott's (scoper) code but don't have time yet to learn to do a tableless site so only the bricks and stripes in the background (middle cell) stretch and shrink. They stop shrinking at 800x600 resolution. Other than the fact that you hate tables, lol, what do you think? Thanks in advance! ![]() |

I think you have a very good looking page to start here.
I would go ahead and get rid of those tables when and if you get the chance. I also think it could work to make the content (which seems to be the dull part of the page look a little more interesting. I might lay it inside of something that makes it a little more distinct form the sides. The left menu also feels like it's sitting a bit low. when I resized to 800x600 it was cut off in FF. |

Thanks Baron!
Hopefully I'll have time after this site to learn to lose the tables! I thought the nav looked a little low too. I moved it up 100 pixels. I'll be thinking about something to make the content more interesting. This is just what I needed before I made the rest of the pages and had to fix them all. |

Are there possible any graphics that you can stick in there whigh might help the user visualize. Not really sure what content their providing you with there. For instance you mention H, S, and T sized cylinders. Is there a possibility they are not going to have any idea what that means, or at the very least a comparison between the sizes in relative terms

also, the points that your using in the table seem to be better suited for a list of points. I know your trying to use the space and sticking something in there, but perhaps there is a better way. Perhaps the list could fill the space even better?

Noppers to graphics, unless I make them. Here's the site I'm redisgning Cylinder-Safe
Yes, the people that go there know what H, T, and S sizes are. Quote:

Whew! now that's a plain jane sight and definitly needs a work around. Just an offhand thought, but what about making some little custom bullets for the list that look like little cylinders. Also, perhaps highlighting the page heading with a different color background. Perhaps a thin border drawn in the table edge around the content to block it in. Again very easy to do in CSS. |

For that CCS, I'm thinking something like
Code:
fieldset {
border: #26a solid 1px;
width: 85%;
margin-bottom: 5px;
}
and wrap the content in some <fieldset> tags |
