Mark Lane's Comics is what i decided to call my site as they are MY comics....lol...anyway i would appriciate it if i could get some of you to visit my site and perhaps list it somewhere on yours as i'm trying to get as much trafic to is as possible. Thankyou all,

mark

Firstly get a free comic update and archive script suchg as Walrus or Buznav this will make looking through your comics so much easier

Secondly if you wish to promote your comic join either BCX or TWC but dont join both quite yet, it's better to concentrate votes into one list.

Thirdly Look at some of the major webcomics such as Chugworth, The QC and of course MegaTokyo but this time don't look at the comics as much as you look at how they are presented, presentation is often as important as art work, more so in a sprite comic such as yours. If you want to be a bit different then try looking at Shift, which has a pretty original design, for a webcomic anyway.

Drunk Duck [www] hosts comics (and php) for free as well as providing update facilities and free promotion. Plenty of the comics in the top 100s on both BCX and TWC use drunk duck, and there is a sort of conection between DD and BCX.

If you don't like DD, which some people don't then t35.com hosts php for free but DD is very good for getting your comic noticed.

Well the use of tables is kind of unnersary, you could have achived the same with divs a lot easier, I wouldn't mind being able to go strait a comic rather than looking for them and there isn't actualy any need for you to isolate R rated comics, much worse has been done.

how do you use divs? i've used div tags before just to align things like <div align-center> blah</div> and i've also used it in a program i wrote <div id=... class=menu> <table></div>

but in the second i used a table within the div. guess i'm just asking for clarification on how i can use divs. thanks again for your input.

Wells here's a basic template that ought to fit your site,
PHP Code:
<div style="width:100%;" align="center">Heading stuff</div>
<
div style="width:100%;">
<
div style="width: 20%; float:left;">Menu stuff</div>
<
div style="width: 80%;">Content stuff</div>
</
div>
<
div style="width:100%;" align="center">Footer stuff</div

That ought to give the same effect much easierly,
If you use php includes for everything that i've called 'stuff', a variable for Content stuff would mean such smaller files.

An idea i had was to use a calander but wasn't able to find the code yet. can you help me out with pointing out some non-php and non-cgi scripting? i wanna use my current web server but also want to have archiving. Thanks for your help,
