your design is ok but i think a better color scheme would help as well as hitting the books (photoshop) to pick some design ideas. the site seems muddled to me and doesn't have much of a central theme. also, black backgrounds are almost never the way to go.

not a bad effort

While it's nothing amazing I have to say this is far from the worst site I've ever seen. Just a couple of things I didn't like:

1: Does the title section really need to take up almost a third of the page?

2: Lose the iFrame

3: Your navigation buttons look a little bit lost. Maybe make them a bit bigger or change the colours around so they stand out more.

I'm sitting in front of a huge screen looking at your home page which contains a very small amount of text, and yet I have to scroll to see it all. That's not a good feature, IMO.

The HTML does not start with a DOCTYPE declaration, so it's hard to use automated tools to find bugs in the HTML (like the use of the misspelled attribute "cellspadding" on line 58).

The page was somewhat messed up in Opera, but probably no point in worrying about that until the HTML is closer to legal.

yea i agree with the huge topbar...needs to shrink. height wise.

width wise, your site needs to be more flexible so that it isnt so narrow as someone else mentioned.

also while you may like the graphics that you made in photoshop...they are nice btw...but i think that they are hard on ht eyes with the black background and the tight width...set the width to 100% and we ll see how it looks.

also defienitly have to lose the iFrame for reason mentioned above

anyway congrats on your first site

Overall, the graphics are great. I would disagree with those that think the header is too large. I'm only on a 17in monitor at 1024 x 768, and IMO it doesn't take up too much room.

My main concern is the navigation buttons. I have a hard time reading them. Maybe it's the font or color, but I would work a little more on those.

Also, as stated before, get rid of the iframe. Theoretically, they are great, but in practice they are more of a pain then they are worth.

Good job, stick with it. This is a great start and MUCH better than my early work.
