My company is working on a new design. Here is the new version slash I came up with. Just looking for criticism on the graphics (kinda all thats there)

i really like what you have so far for your site. i think i like what you have for your client but i would really need to know in what context it would be used, before i could say exactly how much i like it.

the client image is a logo for the game they are working on. they wanted something kinda knight esque so i made that shield

I did some more work on it. My concern is while I like the left side and I like the right, they need to combine in a better way somehow. I'm still working towards that, but in the meantime if anyone has any comments, criticsm (constructive), or suggestions, please pass them along. I think it's a good start though.

i like the design an i can see where your coming from with the left and right not going together well, but i cant think of any suggestions sorry

You could try making the title bar Fade into the left, I've attached a pretty crappy mock-up of that it looks awful but you'll get the idea

I think this is getting on a good track. I feel like the left and the right are much more in sync. Now I want to fix up the content area which I feel is in need of something... As always, comments, suggestions, etc welcome

One big question I have is do you think this is an improvement over my current design: http://www.angry-lizard.com/

It's definatley an improvement on your old design (red on green = yuck).
How will the content area work?
-Will it sroll while everything else stays fixed?
-Are you going to have two colums like with your current design?

I reckon you could add some thing to the content area by getting that shape, the one on the right of where it says Angry Lizard Webdesign, and darken an area of the content background in that shape.

the content area is very much in planning still. As far as independant scrolling goes, I am not a big fan of frames and only use when needed. The top menu area, I will probably be squeezing up a little to save space (not everyone has a 1280x1024 resolution lik me oh well)

And I'm contemplating the idea of converting the top navigation to flash. If I do that, it will probably be after I complete a 100% html version. I wanna take my time with this because if I do the result will be well worth it. I like this design over the current a lot because it displays my prowess (hehe) as a graphic designer more.
