I have undertaken the design of a website for a Mortgage Company.

I am responsible for any programming (HTML/Forms) and am working with a graphic designer who is responsible for the "look and feel" (layout/graphics) of the site. We are both new to this (I to web programming and my friend to graphic design of websites).

The site is VERY poorly programmed right now and I am more interested in your opinion of the navigability, content/presentation of content, and overall "look-and-feel".

To my surprise, the site has ALREADY received a few "Rate Requests" and "Online Applications"... I want to do everything I can to make sure that this site provides the user with a comfortable experience.

Your input means alot to me. Please give me any and every shred of feedback that you can.

Tell your designer that layout color is too strong. You need light design a think.

Can you be a little more specific? He and I kind of "put our heads together" to come up with this site (although he's the one that makes/places all the graphics).

Why don't you search for other morgage lender companies, see the basic structure of their sites, then apapt a style to fi.

The graphics colors are a bit too garish, if that s the word. The service you are providing is quite a serious business , so your site should put that message across to the customer.
