the above link is what i've got so far, the main php coding has been done, it's basically not much more than the working core of the gallery. (footer with links will be added as soon as i get to it) design is my worst field when it comes to websites, the only limitations i had were the black background and the frontpage logo and i came up with that  any help would be fantastic, especially with layout, and a better way to show the active image. (the gallery is for "The University of Bath Student's Union Photographic Society" or Photosoc)

Since you're a PHP programmer, how about a lot more cross-linking opportunities? For example, someone submitting a picture could have an opportunity to point to their own favorite of the photos already there. Link to all other photos by same author, etc.

lol, php programmer, no no no, i'm a html coder
 , that's a great idea though, once my php improves i'll look into it  i'm only a beginner when it comes to php you see, but i've been learning bits of php, just to make my sites better
