Hi everyone.

I'm new here at DevShed and thought I would start off by receiving some comments for my webpage: http://www.bzabza.com/

Feel free to comment both design, layout, coding and whatever you'll find interesting. I've validated both the page itself and the community XHTML 1.1 and CSS level 2. It should be displayed as wanted in all browser.

I liked it so much I bought the company!!

No seriously your'e in my favourites....scary huh!

I don't know if you're trying for the page to be centered or not 'cause I haven't looked at it from home yet, but here at work on IE5.5 it's not. If it's supposed to be centered then I recommend you look on bluerobot.com for a workaround for IE5.5.

Regards,

John.

Thanks..

Thanks for the respons. I am aware of the fact that in IE 5.5 and older it will be aligned to the left. I will of course fix this and ensure that it is displayed correctly in older versions as well. Thanks for the tip!

I'll do some testing with other font sizes and see if I'll go for a permanent solution using this!

Font and alignment fixed

I've changed the fonts to 0.65em now. It is just about the same size as earlier but now it is easier for IE users to increase the textsize if wanted.

I've also corrected the alignment for IE 5.5 and older!

Nice site, and great content. Very clean design and navigation, and also very usable.

If I were forced to comment on one thing it may be the vertical height of your header graphic. But it being a cool design combined with your effective use of space everywhere else, it still works pretty well.

Anyhow, nice job all the way around.

I'm assuming you thought the header was to large. I've considered the same thing myself, but since more and more users increase their screen resolution I think it's okay using some extra space on the header. Since the menu is implemented in it as well, I can claim it is of some pratctical value. Thanks for the comments surfkook!

Looks really clean. Maybe too clean. I think I'd like for the BB to be a bit more tied together.

On a technical note, xhtml1.1 must be delivered as application/xhtml+xml. XHTML1.0 may be delivered as text/html. Only Mozilla/Gecko can render the former at this time.

cheers,

gary

Thanks for the tip kk5st. I've searched through w3c.org to find documentation on this, but that gave no result. Do you have an url to some information on this?

Very nice site. Only suggestion would be to change font color for links... for better readability... 9/10

It has a really clean look and feel to it. I also like the colour scheme.

May I ask where you get your icons from, unless you make them yourself?

Thanks madchild. The icons are a part of a phpbb template called F1apple green. You can see all of them in use at the community: http://www.bzabza.com/forum/

as gary says, xhtml should be delivered as application/xhtml+xml

one solution is to backtrack to xhtml1.0 which may be delivered as text/html
then you can use apache mod__rewrite to delivere application/xhtml+xml to the browsers that accepts this.

Thanks for the urls Akh. Very good reading. I've now changed the content-type to application/xhtml+xml.
