Developed this "picture calendar" to see a daily view of my son growing up. Let me know what you think. It's only been live since yesterday (the page, not my son....you crazy people) so there is only 1 picture. I plan on doing a picture every day and eventually adding a sort of quick flip view to see the age progression.
What else does a web developer do than develop stuff for his family's site.
The new picture calendar

Things I like:

Pictures and content load rather quickly...
Quite to the point...
Very accesable and obvious navigation...
Easy language selection... (how neat)

Things I Suggest:
onmouseover your navigation, some kind of change
to the image like make it popup (like a 3d object) or
something so that it stands out.
visual example (www.Neopets.com

add ALT messages to your next and previous arrows , so
when somebody mouses over them, if they can't tell by the
picture, then they know what they are about to click on --
which is good ...

that's about it.. from me at least.

Very good job!

That's a very smooth looking webapp, I agree. Very fast loading and intuitive. Good luck on the development. Looks like you've made some great strides so far.

Thanks for the reply's. I've realized its got some funky issues when you go back and fourth too quickly. It starts to f*** up and post pictures to the wrong month and whatnot. I think what I have to do is disable the buttons or dont show them untill the page is totally loaded

yeah, it actually had this one time occurance of overlapping pictures when I was going month to month. The overlapping pictures were not on the day boxes (wish I would have dine a screen capute.) don't know what was going on there.

We can't tell which month you intented the pictures to be in either. I would suppose the one for the end of march are incorrect and the bug your talking about.
