Hi again!

URGENT REVIEW, PLS!

I'm finishing my web design studio website and I wish you to review my site in these aspects:

- Layout
- Usability
- Professional-Looking ?
- Color
- Font
- Navigability

But, please, compared my beta site first before judging
Designium BETA to my old one Designium ALPHA
.

Which one looks better? Which one is more 'commercialized'??

the two languages your site uses are portuguese and english, personally i would never use any site which had an american flag to represent the english language, but that's my opinion.

your opening text is a little small, i have fairly good eyesight but the first thing i would do when reading your site would be increase the font size.

other than that, the design is looking good.

you use tables for layout which adds needless code to something which could be done much more easily with modern coding techniques i.e. divs & css

yup, totally agreeing on the use of american flag, most sites use British flag to rep English language.. so it "might" be better to change it.. other than that, change ur design to standard based (XHTML + CSS), and u'll be rocking

Thanks!!!

Hey guys!

thanks for your opinions!

yeah.. I will change the american flag to british one.. that's a good point. hehehehe (i put that american flag because I have no british accent LOL)

anyway.

about the CSS/ DIV/Layer stuff, I will still use table since I can avoid all the problem about overlaying one layer to another. Even though, I also know that CSS is xtremely powerful to manage the layout of a website. (as you see, my font and link style use CSS file)

But, I still have some ideas to use table / td/ tr altogether.

Imagine a whole website witout using IMG tag at all!

I'm going to make an experiment site soon and put a link from Designium.

thanks!!!

Very well done

I really like the second site. Very tasteful and well designed. I also agree about the font. My first reaction was that I couldn't find the nav bar. I'm just not used to looking on the right! So bigger text will help.

Just a couple of minor points on design: How does the person in the upper right relate to the site? I couldn't figure that one out.

Also, you might want to flip the image so that he is looking into your site instead of off stage right.

I also like that the flash not only adds to the design, it sells your services without being annoying. Difficult to balance the two, but you did it well.

Regards,

Will

Thanks WilltheGeek, others too!

So, I'm going to make the font next size big, i'm using xx-small from CSS, i'm going to change to x-small.. also, IE user's can change the font size on the menu properties from the broswer.

The guy upper-right is actually me! The left facing is something intuitive from my part. I was actually looking to the left size when I took the picture, but the camera's lens mirror it. Also, I didn't change to right facing because I think that right facing is how the world spin. Looking forward eheheheh, it's just what I think. Just like the clock, the pointers move to right direction, and it's good to be right ehheeh not gauche (left in french, like c'est un gauche homme would mean something like: He's a weird men.) lol

So, because of those useless cultural stuff, I'm keeping my face right looking ehhehee. But, thanks for the tip!

So, that's not a flash movie, I use a DHTML stuff ehhehehe it will work only with IE 5.5 & up.. Other browser will see just the static version of the ad heheehhe.

So, I think that's all.

Ow. I made a web page about another way of using the outdated table tags. ehhehe check it out soon.!

i would stick with the old one. the text is larger and thus easier to read, and it just generally looks better. i prefer it. and yes, as other user(s) noted, i wouldn't use the american flag for the english language.

all in all, a good site. i like

I would highly recommend bumping all text and important buttons off the edge of the page maybe by 5 to 10 pixels. I didn't see the navigation at first either, and I think larger text and moving it away from the very edge of the page might help some. Or maybe a different color? Also, looking at the portfolio sites you made, you might want to fix the scroll bars at the bottom of the pages. This is generally considered a bad idea in web design.

Other than that, I think it looks great!

I agree, I am starting to make text on my sites slightly larger in an attempt to comply with some of the UK's new accessability guidelines.

So, I made a bigger font size! Also, for IE users, they can increase the text size as much as they want to.

THanks everyone for helping me!
