http://www.detrifuse.net critique
I'd like some honest criticism on the layout style of my page. I know the load times are a bit high, and I am working on that, and I think some of the scripts don't behave in netscape. I also know for a fact that in opera, you can scroll farther to the right than you should be able to for the main page, but still... I'd like to know everyone's overall feeling about the layout of:

i think on this page... http://www.detrifuse.net/main.php ...it should have a mouseout effect so that it goes back to what it was before you hover over the buttons

You know, I had it like that before, but I was afraid that some users might find it too "snappish" since the window changes very quickly if the mouse is moved over buttons while moving the mouse to a button. Also, if the user hovered over a button and saw something interesting in the center window, they might at first try to move the mouse down to it to try and click something, only to have it disappear. Because of that, I felt it was best to allow it to persist so the user could click one of the buttons above, or something in the window below, which ever they felt was more intuitive... I am not sure if I should change it back or not, now that I think about it... Detrifuse |
