Hi there, I was wandering if anyone has a few constructive comments on http://www.dragonflyoffice.co.uk?
My brief was to bring the website up to modern standards, the only catch being I had to stick to the original layout. So it's a table replica, which standards aficionados I know won't be too happy with ; but I'm rather pleased with the result and would really appreciate feedback! Regards. |

Just viewed using Opera 8 on Suse Linux.
The "Can't find the furniture you're looking for? Try our office furniture image library!" overlaps the download screensaver and order catalogue bar. If this is by design then the colouring makes it difficult to read else it needs moving. Please keep minority beings such as myself happy! |

Unfortunately developing on WinXP. Tested in Opera 7-8, FF, NN, IE6 - ran 'screenshot' tests for IE Mac and Safari and they all look fine...

Strange and it validates well also.
Similar problem noticed on other pages as well. May be my setup? |

Do you have an enlarged text size? Unfortunately due to the nature of the beast (the table - esque 'fixed' layout), text sizing tends to break the site. I plan to fix this in the future, but I can only imagine yours is a browser issue unfortunately

Marvelous colors and design. It's quite elegant and easy on the eyes.
The only thing I found slightly misleading was the "HELP ME!" button. I thought it to mean that you were looking for help rather than the visitor. Changing it to "HELP!" or something that more consideratly frames the visitors perspective would be peachy keen. Wish I had more to say, but I think this is one of the better sites I've seen in a while. Best of luck! |

'Peachy keen' - I like it!
Thanks for the comment - I think the intent with the 'me' was to emulate the now traditional approach to the user interface where we see 'my computer', 'my documents' etc. I'll see how it goes but your opinion is well noted thank you ![]() |
