http://www.dynasig.net
Hey,
We've been running for a few months now and have made many refinements to the site with suggestions from users, etc. We'd like to conduct a 6-month review to see how we could change in the future etc. Currently we are working on more features and trying to get better SEO and incentives to get users to subscribe. Comments would be welcome on what you think of it now and how you think we should change in the future. DynaSig: Free Dynamic Forum Signatures Thanks, computer (and Edwin) |

Repeat after me, Tables are for...
I've brought this up with you before but I don't remember what your response was, something dubiously witty no doubt maybe you consider it a long term ambition? lolPeople never seem to use label tags for their forms, is there something I'm missing? I think they show a real touch of class and consideration (more semantic, more accessible... probably something else to boot!) The site looks cold and corporate, which can be good, but it might be interesting to see a more human style to match the content which is all very fun. This could be considered under 'incentives to get users to subscribe', although how it could be achieved is well beyond me Unencoded ampersands are throwing up a few errors in your code. The support section seems to be nice and meaty which I always find attractive when checking out a site, the forum linking to a division of your netbits thing is a slight turn-off, but I suppose that's a matter of practicality. Still, it's a very good site, and I'm having to be very picky to say anything , most folks would leave it as it stands, good on you Merry Christmas

I know, I know - I'm sorry It's on our todo list with a load of other stuff and it's something we will work on eventually.Quote:
Someone brought this up in the last thread too - again it's on our todo list and it will get done eventually. Quote:
ok, I'll look into that. Quote:
Since there aren't that many DynaSig related threads anyway, it doesn't seem sensible to purchase another vbulletin license. Thanks guys for your input ![]() |

heh lol.
all are things on the todo-list. we can make a new design very easily with smarty templates, just a css and a plain old html file are needed (plus the images). any inspiration tho? |

ok I've just released a 'beta' version of the new news comment posting system allowing you to post replies to news items - please let me know what you think of it and any bugs there may be.
next up is a new template. I already have a system on various websites I've programmed with a dropdown allowing selection of a template, so I look forward to implementing that on the DynaSig site. If people can send me perhaps links to things they like for inspiration though that'd be grand - I'm not in a designing mood at the moment ![]() |

These aren't the only forums they're spamming....
![]() Some comments: 1) Do you really want to use URL propagated PHP session id's for the log-in page? It's generally search engine unfriendly (IIRC snsible bots like google will ignore them, but dumb bots *cough*msnbot*cough* will just hit every SESSID it finds. It's also a bit less secure. 2) Also, the logo's a bit hard to read on the brushed metal - maybe darken/lighten up the outline or something to make it stand out a bit more. 3) I'd use it if I could get a smaller one (holy bandwidth overkill batman!) and add my 48,000 or so views of my existing sig to it ![]()

Ahh, you have got to love Adblock
![]() Site looks good guys, though I agree with Simon on the session thang and the size of your images. I will probably get minus rep points for this, but I have blocked signature images as they slow the page load times considerably.
