Hello. This website is for a university JavaScript assignment. It's not quite finished, but it's pretty unique. I designed a JavaScript template system to power the website.

Despite being JavaScript driven, people with JS disabled (and more importantly search engines) can still view the content (although it wont be inside the template). This is entirely clientside.

Currently it works in IE5+ and Mozilla 1.0 (havent tested it with earlier versions yet). Unfortunatly it does not work in Opera due to it's lack of AJAX support (namely XMLHttpRequest()) however, people using Opera can still see the pages without the template.

Comments on the layout/design or the template system would be helpful. As it's an assignment the content isnt really important, i'm just using it to explain how the template system works.

Thanks for any comments

Looks great. I especially like the resizing that goes on when you resize the browser. Though on high resolutions such as 1280x1024 it gets kind of empty looking toward the middle and right side.

Best of luck.

Thanks for the comments.

I cant really remove the emptiness without adding another panel somewhere. Not that I have anything to put in it. Even so there would still be emptiness. It's the price you pay for a design which isnt fixed width I guess. There is a lot less wasted space than there would be on a fixed width site though. If i had more content, that actually filled the width of the screen it would look better.

I just added the content. I'd expected someone to comment on the JS template system by now. Once the assignment has been marked I may release the template system as a package. I know not many would use it, but it would be useful for people who want a template but dont have any server side scripting available and it would be better than letting all my hard work go to waste. I updated the site, the about and FAQ pages now go into detail about how the template system works if anyone is interested.
