critique S.V.P.

So, i built this page for a band i know and i'm just looking for some criticism. It's fairly simple and uses very basic colors. i'm still waiting for art work from the band...

first impressions: very neat, polished and clean looking.
i take it there would be a picture or something on the home page when it's finished? a blank page doesn't exactly grab your attention
i like the mouseover effect but even with that i did feel the site was a little too clinical for my liking - i think some more colour would brighten it up although i do tend to o/d on that!
when the images are added that could add sufficient interest anyway...
btw i used win xp ie6 @ 1024x768 to view the site.

yeah there will be tonnes of pics once the band gets their photo shoot done and i'll be working with photoshop to get everything looking great. and i agree, right now it's very clinical..but don't worry, i'll be changing that. this had just started as a temp page but they liked the layout.
cheers

Cartmill,

Please read through this thread:
http://forums.devshed.com/t78549/s.html

Your subject should be the name of the site you'd like reviewed. I've changed the subject line for you this time.

Thanks.

I like the site. It looks "artsy" without using a lot of Flash or DHTML tricks that don't work in every browser.

You need a new message board, though... seriously. Check out Invision Power Board at www.invisionboard.com. It's free.
