Please Review if you will
If I read the rules correctly, I can post this question here.
I would appreciate it if someone would review this site and let me know if it is goof for PHP and MySQL? Site Location; URL This site is intended to be set as a Newsletter Mailing List for advertisers who wish to receive targeted mails. If I have misread the rules, my apologies. Thank you. This site needs a lot of work.
First, on the homepage, I'm faced with a huge graphic of a firework, with absolutely no instructions as to what to do. Scrolling down reveals an 'enter here' link. Didn't I just enter your site by typing in the URL? What purpose does this link serve? Clicking on the link provides me w/ two options - fill out a form as a member, or as an advertiser. I'm neither. What do I do now? There aren't any immediately available instructions on what to do... so, I left the site. You really need to think about the user's experience when developing a website... this site has a lot of problems, in terms of providing the user with any useful information or services.

i would agree with groove, the site is very unorganized, before you do anything else i would suggest removing the javascript and the bg image. then go ahead and align your left menu with maybe a top menu and a header image of your website that is the very basic layout. but whatever u do remove the graphic and javascript it makes it very hard to read the text. my 2 cents. |

This thread is over 1 year old. Looking at your account details, it seems that you (snazzy102) are the webmaster of Firecracker. What happened to your TheCelt2 account?

problems
1) just going to the site i have no idea what your trying to sell to your visitors 2) not sure, but doubt it would look good on 800x600 res, most users have this as their default 3) the buttons for the menu and the background don't look professional if you are a business. 4) your advertising banner pitch... if i was a potential buyer, i would be wondering if the banner just appears on the site im looking at or if you have other sites that you'd show the ad. Why would potential customers come to a website designed to promote advertising.... As a customer I would go to a site for other interests... I dont surf the web specifically to find ads, I just come across them... Maybe you need another site made for community purposes. overall, to be honest, if you're trying to be professional, you need to upgrade the entire design of the site... from logos to html code. if you're not concerned with this.... then that kinda tells me you dont care either... sorry. I could hook you up with a professional design for little money if you decide to update. |
