hey all,
I would really appreciate it if you could tell me what you think about this page! Im not too keen on the second Navigation bar ive put under the Purple banner. i cant think of what else to use or where to put it? ive tried using tabs but they look even worse. BACKGROUND INFO ------------------ Basically this website serves 2 companies - follett parts and frank l follett motors. i have the generic nav bar at the top but i need a second nav bar to navigate through the specific stuff used on frank l follett motors side. If you wana have a look around the site as it please tell me what u think and what type of browser and connection you are using! Many thanks! Ed

The design is nice and I wasn't bothered at all with the second navigation bar. However, I would have liked to see some hover effetcs or something with the navi links o_O

Hi,
I'm using FF0.9.3 and the site loads cleanly for me. I like the design, simple and clean. I'd like to see some rollovers on the links/nav bars though - with perhaps the box they're in getting slightly darker? This can easily be accomplished in CSS. I also think the second navigation bar would look nice with rounded corners at the bottom left/right to keep in with the rounded purple bit. And if you can move the navbar's endpoint over by 1px so it lines up exactly it would look a little smarter. I also assume you're going to tidy up the font etc used on the 'Links' page. Also a little note, on Firefox, the buttons for the login page, etc aren't the right height and you miss off the bottom bit of the text on the button. I hope that helps, computer |

hey all!
thanks for the responses! much appreciated.! GOing to take a lot of that on bored. Just a few questions those: What did you mean by the "box its in" and changing the colour??? regards to the buttons: Thanks for pointing that out! ive seen it too with netscape! i am going to change them to pictures but they'll do at the mo!!! its still not live? Also probablty the biggest stupid(est) question. how do i do a rollover. this is my first proper website. Im moving away from building Applications. what i would like to do is have a gradient rollover so that it just looks like the top half of each nav bar is lighting up! cheers for the help lads and laddets Ed Last edited by edfollett : November 17th, 2004 at 01:11 PM. |

the pageback colour fade is probably a 1x800px image or so which starts at one colour and gradients down to another. this is then set as the background image of the page with repeat on x but not y.
the rolllovers on the macromedia site are flash, so if you have flash you can do that if not simple css rollovers are the easiest... |
