I know it's bad, just sorted out the layout. What I would like is some kind of blue/white/green colour scheme, what do you think?

Thanks.

It is very simple which I like.

After I log in. There is no link to leave that page. It just says "You have succesfully logged in." You should have a link there or even automatically redirect back to the home page.

Facebook
It is very basic.

You should at least provide a dummy account so people here can view members content without going through registration.

You should also change the error message when trying to log in.
The error you are using at the moment lets you know what user names are taken already -
this could be targeted.

Whether advertising that you are associated with http://microsonline.com/ is a good thing is open to debate.

Content is king - neither sites seem to have any!

Views ok.

Thanks. What do you suggest as an alternative?

---------

Also I'm afraid I don't see the problem I assume you mean when registering it doesn't take you straight to the home page? As mine goes straight there (redirects I think).

Thanks for all your help.

Ah I see it, it's when you register and then log in immediately. It takes you to main.php by accident. Don't worry I'll have that sorted in 2 secs.

Sorry about the content it's new and there is none!

Also a test account:
U/N: testit
P/W: testit

Ideally I would have some kind of inline registration (perhaps lightbox/greybox) that would pop up so you don't have to leave the page to register.

Make no mention of whether or not a username is taken. If someone enters something into either field that is incorrect, an error message stating something like:
You have entered an incorrect username or password. Please try again.

or

We have no record of that username/password combination

You don't want to say a username is not found, because it makes it easier to hack in because a user already knows one of the 2 items they are trying to hack.

Thanks. I've sorted out the redirect problem, as well as the username problem. It now reads:

"* The username you have entered is invalid."

Feel free to:
a) Sign up for a new account.
b) Use the following accounts:
testit/testit
testit2/testit2
testit3/testit3
testit4/testit4
testit5/testit5

As it seems that if someone is already on it one of you will be logged off
