You've sinned from the start (no offence) with
Code:
<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" summary="page"> You shouldn't use tables cos its not very efficient, use css and your layout is not complicated so it could be done. It looks alright, a bit plain but still good. Has this got a CMS behind it or do you add the pages yourself?

I think if you site is geared toward gaming nerds most of them will be expecting a more graphically based website. Just my 2 cents.

It was designed to look a bit like a certain famous classified-ads site which is why it isn't graphically intensive
.@sephers181: Point taken about the div tags vs. table -- thanks. As for your other question, it is driven by a database backend and Ruby on Rails. No CMS involved. Last edited by Scorpions4ever : May 4th, 2008 at 10:21 PM. |

Not very visually stimulating. Looks like it was built in Frontpage sometime around 1992.

there is no such thing. tables are not only efficient, but work well and ensure your site looks similar in as many browsers as you can, if you use them right and well. you dont have to hold your layout simple or anything either. geeez. i dont understand the fads that go about some stuff around the net. yes, tables were created to present tabular data, but they also work fine with layouts. you people need to be more open minded. |

You're probably one of those people who think that the standard behavior in Internet Explorer should be the web standard because IE has the largest market share and every other browser developer should adhere to the "standards" of IE because of that... |
