Howdy...finally got the new site launced here.
Thanks to all those that helped me out along the way. I'm open to any suggestions/recommendations/accolades(hehe) on layout, performance, etc. Thanks again!

1. make your contact information visible, list your phone/e-mail on every page, a contact button just doesn't cut it.
2. stay away from cheesy photos and cliparts 3. there is a lot of white space on the front page, there is practically nothing next to the lady on the bottom left hand corner. it is better to put specials/new products there. |

Thank you...i dispise the lady at the top of the home page...but she's gotta be there till we get another disc of images to use. other than that, the rest of the images are pretty much product whihc must be there.
i'll definately get something more visible for contact info. thanks! |

I think it may be more search engine friendly if your "inhouse specials" were text based rather than image-based.

Agreed. They'd not only be more search engine friendly but they may also look more appealing. |

I think it looks and works great! I don’t think the lady is so bad. Really loads fast, easy to get around and consistant. Good job!
I agree with text instead of graphics for inhouse specials. Speaking of the contact info – you might get a lot of spam with your email addresses right on the page. Here’s a little code to hide from spiders: Code:
<script type="text/javascript"> var zap_domain = "yourdomain.com" var zap_user = "whoever" var zap_recipient = zap_user + "@" + zap_domain var zap_url = "mailto:" + zap_recipient document.write(zap_recipient.link(zap_url)); </script> Put this code just where you want the link in the body, not in the head like you might think. This comes out looking like whoever@yourdomain.com . Cool huh? I’m not smart enough to come up with this myself, I got it from a newsletter from boogiejack.com. Best to ya! Carrie |

With the exception of the 'specials' being done with images, which has already been mentioned, I think the design is very nice.
The code looks good, but you might want to look into making the site better accessibility wise. Image alt tags are a good start. For some reason, I've taken a firm dislike to the pale yellow at the sides. I wouldn't worry about one person's opinion here, but I think I've decided on a new least favourite colour. ![]()

thanks for the input...it seems a lot of people aren't 'feelin' the cream colour...and i thought i had all alt tags in place.
i'll look over it tho. |

check your css, line 69 of your file has this entry:
Code:
backgound-image: url("http://www.graphixplus.com/images/no-pic.gif");
