Here ya go:
1. The hovers need to be brighter and maybe a bigger font 2. To many shades of blue 3. Centering it or basing it on % would be nice 4. Not a big fan of your header kinda grainy 5. The W3C complient logo at the bottom should be a link 6. There is some shifting when you click through your pages there ya go, cuda |

thanks Cuda, I am preparing to update my site and appreciate the feedback. As far as the shifting, I will finally use CSS2 instead of tables in the redesign.

Hi Marc
Just my opinions: Try and resist the temptation to compartmentalise all the page elements into boxes, it pulls your eye all over the page and makes the overall design look disjointed. The text is nearly unreadable. If you want to keep it that size you need to use a sans-serif font like arial, gill sans, century gothic etc. The top banner needs some work. The colours don't compliment each other and look out of sorts with the rest of your blue theme. That isn't to say I wouldn't use a different colour apart from blue, but gradient tan/white wouldn't be a choice of mine. Again I'd try and join that top banner ie your logo and title/address. I'd remove the 'its good to be seen' image and replace it with normal text. Try and simplify your content and design, 'less is more'. Theres too much going on on that page, you've got logos, 2 menu systems, strap lines, maps, and those horrible compliant logos etc (i'd put them on another page and relieve the clutter). Think about what your trying to tell your customers, what is the most important content? Try and stay clear of glitzy backgrounds, instead use something simple and play around with it, your left menu for example, what about blue with white text? I'd actually start with the content background colour, I'd replace the dark blue with that nice cobalt blue you have as the main page background colour. I know I've been critical, but its always good to get a fresh pair of eyes on something. Good luck with the site. |

Looks pretty clean.
You may want to stay away from clip art (especially jumping graphics) on your web page. I learned that the hard way a few years back - this takes away from your credibility as a professional web designer. Several paragraphs of text on a web page is normally boring for users who want quick information. If there is a way to impact a few key words, this may help the impatient visitors to not get bored and leave your site. And you actually recommend Go Daddy. I'm trying to leave that place as soon as possible. I recently found that dozens of hosts offer 80% more than Go Daddy for a fraction of Go Daddy's price. I've only been with them for a little over a month so I'm trying to get a refund. You should see some site review sites for good host. |
