The yellow links are difficult against the white background.

The homepage is very busy with all those scrollable areas, consider a cleaner page with links to categories

The code does not validate:- http://validator.w3.org/check?verbo....hivegames.com/

Tables 4 Layout == Bad

Thats my comments,
Good Games Though!

Duncan

I like it.
Your header banner is nicely designed.
Your Google ads are well placed
I like having access to all the games from the home page and you've managed to place a lot of links in a well-organized manner. It does appear busy at first but I think when one looks through it, it is probably best presented as it is.

I do, suggest you change the yellow links to a more readable color. And I also suggest that you increase the size of the font of the titles of each of the game category (eg "Advneture Games").

Load time is good.

I don't understand what the big deal is about making things validate. I don't think any blind person would want to play online video games. Otherwise, if it looks proper and it loads fine, then validation should only be an afterthought.

Validation is not just for the benefit of the blind. I am sure the visitors to the site will not be blind, but will they ever find the site....thats the question, It's a question of making the site search engine friendly...

Read http://www.marketposition.com/artic...lidate-html.htm

I hope this answers the question, and besides, writing clean markup is simply good practise. How can we criticise Microsoft or whoever for creating browsers which don't render our documents as they should if we cant be bothered to write valid code in the first place.

Sorry if I sound like a grouch, but writing valid code is not difficult, the W3C even provide a validation tool for HTML and CSS.

Regards,
Duncan

I don't believe that sites written with valid html are favored by search engines any more than sites that aren't.

I'm not sure if valid html improves your search engine results. I try to validate pages because bad html and css can have a big difference in the way that they're displayed in different browsers.
