Just switched my site to CSS based layout and want to see what people think and if there are any issues there with different browsers. I know everything lines up OK on IE and Firefox, but I have found a bug with Konqueror that makes the top elements overlap a little. Any suggestions from people who know why this happens would be greatly appreciated.

one thing i think ALOT of people put way too much emphasis on is weather their site is css based or cross browser compatible and lose the design element of their website.
that said i think this site needs alot of work. here are the areas which i think lack a design aspect. your header altho having a nice looking background flag effect doesnt fit in with your site color wise. i would suggest keeping the banner the same and changing ur site color to match ur banner mode white/red. another thing is your menu, its text based and its not very graphically apealing. your main area has the same square background as your main background and it doesnt stand out as the main part at all IMO. i think if you work on those things your site will turn out pretty nice. keep with that white/red color theme. |

Thanks for input
I had the site with a red/white colour scheme there for a while, just thought I would try something a little different. I am actually working on having a couple different style sheets to have a selectable colour and font by clicking a couple little buttons.
If anyone can post how the site is responding as far as the time to load etc, that would be awesome. I have been told it is very slow for people on dial up. Thanks again. |

in addition to stylesheets i would suggest opening up fireworks or paintshop pro or whatever you prefer to use and work on making some nice buttons and things of that nature. stylesheats are fine but when users come to your site they care more about it being graphically pleasing and generally eye catching instead of code efficient.

I like the looks of your site a lot -- good colors and easy to read text. I use firefox and can increase font size so that I can read easier -- your site lets me do that, many sites don't allow it. These are the two most important things I look for -- if either fail, I just go elsewhere.

Thanks for having a look
I have tried to have the site "optimized" for either Firefox or IE. Some of the text on my site can be a little small if your screen is set for a high resolution.
