http://www.mak2.co.uk/gbla/index.php
Hi all,
After much messing around and pain I have managed to convert my latest tables based site into a CSSP site. Pain is perhaps the wrong word, but I have put some serious time into learning CSSP these past few weeks and I think it has paid off. I'll never use tables again for page layout. The site is on my testing server for now and can be found here: http://www.mak2.co.uk/gbla/index.php If anyone can find any errors which I have not found I would be very greatful. Also, comments on design or anything regarding the site are always welcome. The site is due to go live in about 1 week. Many thanks, Duncan ![]() |

Very nicely done. You've inspired me to get off my butt and learn CSS.
The pictures in your About section did not load up. In gallery, it would be good if there way to navigate between photos instead of having to go back to the galery all the time. Now there is only two pics, but it would be something to consider if more pictures are planned. Good job. |

Excellently done!
The only suggesting I have is to get rid of "background-attachment: fixed;" in the body class of your CSS. While this background effect is cool, scrolling takes everything it can from the CPU, and is slow. It can cripple a slow computer. On your page, since the background is repeated anyways, there isn't really a need for it. But again, other than that, eveything looks really great!

Thankyou
Thanks for looking,
The about page uses image placeholders at present as the client is yet to provide photos and content for that page. I will consider changing the background from fixed. I think I'll have a go on an old PC next time I visit my dad and see how the page renders. His PC is fairly old! Thanks again, Duncan ![]() |

Nice and clean. Kinda surprised when I moused over the sponsor logos that they weren't linked to home websites... is that intentional?
As a websurfer, it is very enjoyable small site, thank you for giving me an opportunity to see it ![]() |

Yeah, We are waiting for the sponsors to authorise links on the site; a formality, but we will wait anyway. Thanks for your comments and I'm glad you like the site. Regards, Duncan ![]() |
