Feedback on content really. Am going to "SEO-orize" it but was wondering what your first impressions are? Are the basics there to build on?

2 things:
1. the content is too dense. break it up into quick sections with headers and bullted lists. too much irrelevant info. think not what you want to tell them, but rather "what do they want/need to know". eliminate everthing else.
2. dont use wp for your site. too limited.

Usability wise, there are lots of nav bar options (not a problem in itself). It is standard to have the HOME link on the far left. This is where users expect it to be. A new image for each page would be nice, the repetition of images sort of gives the impression that you gave up half way through. Overall i like the site, did you make the theme yourself? as ^ says, there is alot of info there... so you clean things... that is that. How about a simple box with prices e.g.
wheelie bins: £5
Driveways: £2 per square metre etc.. something that gives users all they need to know in one hit, then they can look further if they want. Just a thought. I noticed no prices on the prices page. Having a live, un-finished site looks very un-professional You want visits to convert in to sales and i had to work hard to find out what i wanted. I also noticed the press articles, this is something i would shout about on the front page!!
hope this helps.

Spot on, a quick price list in a box on the homepage. As the site is, users have to work hard to find what they want.
Shout about being featured in the newspaper instead of hiding this info away.
HOME links are always on the far left of the nav bar, this is what users expect. There is no valid reason for your navigation to be different.
A new image on each page would be nice the repetition makes it look as if you gave up halfway through.
I noticed an unfinished prices page. An unfinished, live site looks un-proffessional.
Time to ditch the old websites!! having these "specialised sites" just adds to the confusion. The aim of a website is to convert. In your case, visits to sales. In order to do thios you need to deliver a quick shot of confidence (press coverage) and value (prices) in to the user...
hope this helps!
p.s. I like wordpress!! and i like the theme... did you make it yourself?

Why are you home, contact and sitemap icons so tiny? they look they have been forgotten about.
and i agree on the specialized sites; toss them.

1st. Drop wordpress, how good your theme may be, soon you will bump into the restrictions it "has to offer" you.. so better to start off good, then having to change the entire thing in a year.
2nd Always set up descriptions for your images (:

I'm keeping Wordpress. It does everything that's needed.
As for everything else, I do realise the majority but it was only done very quickly! I just now need to sit down with the site owner and discuss content

I concur with what most people are saying, but WP is fine. Keep it.
