I would be grateful if any members are prepared to critique my site, URL.
It is a commercial site for a very young Australian company involved with the development and manufacture of exercise equipment, specifically strength-increasing machines. We intend to market globally. Currently the site focusses on our first machine, the ScrumTruk, designed to improve the pushing power of rugby union forwards. I am particularly interested in comments on layout and functionality and any issues that may arise with navigability as we expand the range of machines. Regards Bruce |

The site looks good. Easy to read and navigate. Page load time is good.
If you will be expanding the number of machines you plan to sell, I'd replace the SCRUMTRUK menu option with a PRODUCTS option, where it'd link to the products that you sell. [EDIT] The only other thing that springs to mind is the Javascript requirement. With scripting disabled, my browser reports an error if I try and email without any information (from the 'contact us' form). There should be some form of server-side validation of form input if scripting is disabled (not just client-side validation with javascript) - from a usability standpoint as well as a security standpoint. In fact, server-side form validation should be done as a minimum, regardless of whether javascript validation is used ![]()

Thanks, mlh, for the quick reply and its contents.
With regard to your observations re javascript and email replies, I will have to pass that on to my webhost who is responsible for the structure of the site as these matters are way outside my area of understanding. However, I am beginning to realise that if I want to have a very functional website there are a multitude of issues I need to personally keep abreast of. Forums such as this are invaluable.
