the links in the contentboxes are way to hard to read, change their color, brighter would be good i think.

Your design is bloody brilliant. Such a shame your using an invalid table based layout. I agree about the the links.

the links are white, are they not?... a little cut-out of a screenshot would be great.

The links are white and the design is absolutely fantastic. Great work. A suitable scrollbar colour to go with it would be nicer though

The only way to change a scrollbar collor is with invalid propretry css, the page is invalid enough as it is.

Hey, thanks for the feedback... couple things.. yes, i redid my CSS so that the links would not be blue anymore, thats why they are ok now... and my CSS is perfectly valid. Also, i wont use the scrollbar colors, because of what the tree said. (I used to until i found out months ago). I am trying to make my site work in all browsers, and it has been brought to my attention that a lot of the stuff I use is IE valid only... so i will be working on that in the days to come. Any other feedback would be appreciated.

I like your design, but your hover effect on the links is nuts!!

It makes it more difficult to tell what link you are pointing at, what use is that?

Sorry, but it really irritated me, the rest of your site I really do like.

John.

I don't really mind about that hover affect if you like it, keep it.

Your HTML is far from valid.

You seem to have a decent grasp of CSS so you really should be using that for layout, not tables.

use browsercam.com to check how it looks in other browsers.

I agree 100%. Why would you change the direction of the text when the user hovers over it. How does this add to the experience? All it does it confuses some people.

Nice site!

I for one link the hover on the links..keep it!! If the folks get confused that the word gets reversed then they are a little on the slow side, and will probably have trouble with other parts of your site. For those saying it doesn't "do anything" I have two points:

1. A lot of things on a websites don't "do anything". Some things are there to just bring some personality to the site.

2. It does serve a function here. It let's you know what link you are about to click on.

As for the usage of tables, Tree, it could be a lot worse, he could have used frames..

Angry

Hey, bobcat23tx, who are you calling slow!? Keep your derogatory comments to yourself please. The effect didn't confuse me, it just made the link harder to read, why should that equate with people having trouble with the rest of the site?

Yes, reversing the text does let you know you are hovering over a link, however, if like me you tend to run your cursor up and down menu bars and then click on what takes your fancy it doesn't help when the link you hover on is suddenly more difficult to read.

Yes, it's a kind of semi impressive bit of coding, and yes it does add some individuallity to the site, but if most people are saying they aren't keen then it doesn't take rocket science to work out what to do.

LonerArcher keep going mate, you've done some great work there so far.

Cheers,

John.

I know my site is not all that great, so I can't really speak but I have to say that I think the links make it look a bit cheap. You have such an amzazing logo (header thing) and I love the colours, but the hover effect (or whatevver you want to call it) is just tacky. I think something more discreet, perhaps a small outline of a box - not really sure. Love your site though...
