Hey people. I was wondering if I could get some feedback on the design of my website. I know that there are not links to the other pages that are included in the site (i.e. 'links' and 'archives'), so I don't need people telling me that I'm just after your opinions on the design, the colour scheme and the layout. All the normal critiques, I suppose.

I like the colors though it's a bit plain. You could use a header or something graphical to pump up the jams.

It's neat though, g'luck.

I never thought I'd ever say this, but it could do with some decoration.
If you like thin single collums then take a look at http://thenamesdan.com/, note how the subtle header image adds a lot to the site, as do the shadows.

It does need a little something, but I like the "ultra minimalist" appraoch your taking. Perhaps the use of flash might be a good idea here. Not immediatly apparent, but kind of shows up and changes as your going somewhere (just a general suggestion)
The colors are a little drab as mentioned before. The look speaks to something darker actually. Perhaps a few very faded pictures in the background.

i too like the simplicity, although i'm gonna agree with the 'needs a little something'.

perhaps to maintain the minimalist look, just a small header logo in the top right or left. i think that would be enough.

other than that, it's nice, good work.

It's looking good, I agree with the other comments about needing a slightly more prominent header, those little diddly letters at the top just don't cut the mustard.

I think the mark-up could have a little more semantic worth i.e. what's with all of the <br />'s and no header elements *tisk*

p.s. the neon green is inspired!

I must say you design is built like it should,, simple and no bs... Dont add any decor or banner,, it will make the design change it "appel" atleast for me.

And love the the design elements are actually the text and picture, which also are the content. its PERFECTO .. I also like the (do i dear to call it) "Lime" color on the headings.

I think it's pulling together nicely as well. It didn't take too many changes from the original, but I think it needed that little header to go at the top.

You might think about making the header a little smaller... with my resolution (1024x768) the header itself takes up half the visible page... and most of it is empty space... on a lower resolution (not that anyone sane would use one) it'll take up more...

I've changed one or two things, including making the menu at the top slightly shorter. I'm curious to see what else people recommend changing or adjusting because I haven't yet tested my website in all the browsers across platforms.

Also, I'd be interested to see what people thought about this design as a CSS based journal.
