The design is nice. Though the menu, at least for me, seems to be moved too far to the right. Maybe that is just part of the deisgn.
The code is pretty bad. Probably could cut that down a little with some very simple css.

I personally liked the design a lot.
What I'm not though, is a great fan of drop down menus because until I hover I don't know they are there and until I learn what is in each and remember it, I have to look through each one every time I want a particular link (slight exageration I know). It's just a personal preference thing and if you have a lot of links in a little space it's sometimes needed. That aside I like your graphics, and the layout is cool. I would probably increase the gap between the text of the main content window and the helpful links for better separation of the two, and maybe fully justify the text in the main window. Others will probably comment on the code in detail, but looking at it in Firefox I can see LOTS of tables based layout and I'm not even gonna get into that discussion. Also in Firefox there is something funky going on with the grey menu bar that begins CAS Home, it's protruding out of the layout on the right hand side, don't know why, haven't really looked at your code in detail. Hope this is some help. John. |

Thanks John, I really appreciate the input. I tend to agree with you about drop down menus but the previous (or current) web page had them so I think the faculty was used to that style of presentation.
Also, I know about the misalignment issue in firefox. Not sure what to do about it though. If you or anyone knows anything about this please help me out. I believe it all lines up correctly in IE. Thanks again. |
