Really simple... almost too simple. When I go to a site, I want to see something new and interesting. I won't even go to web hosting sites anymore because they are all built off of the same template, lol. Your site doesn't seem to have anything that stands out and makes me mentally set it apart from the rest. Other than that, I like it. Good info organization and spacing and everything.

I changed the site around slightly. Bearing in mind that images are coming soon, hopefully adding a bit more colour, are there any other comments people have? Any suggestions, perhaps?

Meh! I might as well give some more as you seem so desperate
 I liked the coloured title! why did you change it to a boring grey? The menu isn't all that clear, when I first saw it I wasn't sure if it was a menu, quotes or some such  I like the general layout of your blog entries. Perhaps you could play with the idea of a variable width site? Fixed width is boring IMO. As for mark-up: It validates, which is all well and good, but I'm not sure it is really in the spirit of (x)html... Code:

I just added a comment to id/record/thought number 788...which shouldn't exist... Might want to check your validation, there... OOps... just added some JavaScript to the page, too... might want to fix that. :/
Loading your page seems to trigger GET requests to http://stuweb.cms.gre.ac.uk/~hm325/rv/undefined, also, which is a 404. You, uh, might want to filter how many To: addresses (email addresses in the form) you allow, too... I think I just sent you 30 emails. Ooops. Oh wait... did you want comments on the design? OH! It's, uh... okay. Nothing very exciting about it, but it's your site. I do like plain, minimalistic sites, but your's is a little too bare. Let me know if you want help with the PHP issues... ---John Holmes...

Another small redesign was forthcoming, and I changed a few things around. As for the PHP problems, I haven't managed to fix them yet. I'm not too sure if your comments were relevant to what I was asking for, though

Looks alright. The menu hover just makes the selection dissappear for me. I'm in IE.
Middle mouse click doesn't seem to work. Not keen on that at all. I love middle mouse!!

The menu is meant to disappear. As for 'middle mouse' clicking, I've done nothing to stop this working...
