How fast does this site load for you?

(Other constructive criticism is welcome, but not requested. I'm just trying to figure out why it takes 20 seconds to load on my high speed connection. I have a feeling it's my Internet connection or my computer system. In fact, all four sites in my sig below, all hosted on the same server, all load very very slow for me all-of-a-sudden.)

Loaded very quickly for me - a couple of seconds at the most.

I'm using a 512 broadboad connection at the moment.

22 seconds for me. This makes no sense.

BTW, is http://www.google.com/ down? It hasn't loaded for me in the past few days. If it's not down, then there is definitely something wrong with my system and/or connection and/or network.

Google had 'internal server problems', your site took about 2 secs for me, 2.3Mbps using FF

My hard drive preview copy (I use http://www.fogcreek.com/CityDesk/) loads slow too. When my brother removed the Google ads, the site loaded fast again!!!

So...
1) Are the Google ads loading/showing for you? (They are on every page under the Google search box at the top.)
2) How come this makes the site load slow for me, but not anyone else? (If the Google ads load for you, but not for me, then that answers the question.)

I took the Google ads off. Sorry about that. But for some reason, whenever Google is experiencing problems and the ads don't load, they slow down the whole site!

The problem is solved. Well... at least I know what is causing the problem. How to leave the ads up and not make them slow down the site is anothe problem.
