ok i did make a post on here a week or 2 ago ive been working on the design a bit and come up with this
new design not all the pages work though but some do

also can you comment on the forum? it was the skin closest to my design i could find, ive never created a skin for phpbb before and to be honest i dont really want to start until my site is up and running that can be something i change at a later date but do you think it will be ok for now?

something is just too bland with the links on the side. i think the area is just overall too wide. make the link column thinner so the text fills it up better. The content should be a little better styled. try a bit of a different color, maybe a slight shade of blue, or make the background of the content interact better with the side panels(they seem to kind of die at the edges)

overall i think its off to a good start

It lacks substance. There is a lot of space that holds something, but not enough. It's as if the site has a shell, but the inside is hollow.

The header could use some work, it's not very clean, especially around the logo.

The navigation is just text centered in these shapes. Link the text to the shape somehow. Make it interesting. Don't just put text on there thinking all is well.

The left and right sides should be balanced as far as shape and weight go. Right now the curves at the top are different and the site is weighted to the right.

Make the body text interesting! Black is good and all but nothing makes me want to read it!

The colors need some work. Right now there are tons of different blue-grays and no real color scheme. Give it a nice accenting orange or even a bit of a lime green could work and pick 2 or 3 shades of blue and stick with them.

Lots of improvements to make, but keep at it.

thanks for the feedback, i will have a look at the colour scheme and the links i tried making change to a lighter blue when you hover over them but for some reason only 2 of them changed, i suppose ill have to look at that, i like the idea of the lime green, not sure about the orange though, but its somehing i will have a look at
