1. I would get rid of the splash screen page. I hate those things. All they do is prevent me from seeing the site right away. They add nothing.
2. The main site looks great. I think you could use a little more contrast for your "Welcome" and "News" images. They are rather difficult to read. 3. The underlying markup is not bad. The menu could easily, and perhaps more correctly, be a unordered list rather than a series of divs. Great design.
