Major issue:

when running your homepage through the W3C validator http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=h...=Inline&group=0 , it reports (no less than) 50 errors. ALL of these errors need to be fixed! If you follow the instructions provided on the W3C page, it should be very easy to fix these.

Couple of design tips ...

1. use Arial font for the main text (same as your menu bar).
2. change the colour of the links (blue on blue, purple on blue ... yuck)
3. get rid of the br br br br br muck ... it produces pointless whitespace.

The colours are horrible. Dark text on dark background. Really hard to use.

I'd recommend using a template to get started. Or Joomla or Wordpress will get you a long way fast.

my 2 cents, never us a black background, and never use dark font on dark backgrounds! The header images is to big (in resolution) and takes to long to load (and it looks shotty to boot).

Frankly speaking it looks really bad. Looks like a website from the 90's. You need to redesign it from 0. There is not problem if you have no design experience, there are thousands of free layouts on the net. Just use one you like.

Except the design, the website seems to be ok. I like the it loads really fast. Those days an improved website speed is essential to keep existing visitors, and maybe website speed becomes a seo factor for the search engines.
