Just wanted to get some critiques on my new site.

I know there are quite a few errors when running it through the validator, but putting a document type on there messes up the page. Any ideas why?

Your site looks good. Good idea too.

My only suggestions would be to work on your header/logo a bit. It's hard to read. Could be cleaner.

I'd move the disclaimer/feedback links to the bottom of the page to tighten up the over concept so that the body sits directly below the header.

I clicked on the tornado icon and it worked well.

Other than that, keep at it.

One thing I think may spice your page up is using colors from the map elsewhere on your page. Such as the water maybe on as the headers background color, or a darker shade of that.

Also on the header, try emphasizing the text more. Keep in mind that generally most visitors look at the top left of a site before anything else. In that case, think about moving your title to the left and the graphic additions to the right.

I like the site a lot. Very clean and easy to use and understand. I don't see any issues with it at all. It's a very nice interface to (and use for) Google Maps...
