This is my online portfolio. Give me some feedback. Haven't tested in other browsers. Thanks! |

Guess I never really thought of it that way, but now that you mention that, it probably would be a good idea to change that. Thanks, how about the layout and design?

Your code is not to good, you've used a table based layout and the embed tag is invalid. Take a look at w3schools to create a decent css based layout and ALA for embending flash while remaining valid (its there somewhere, search for it.)
Your design is pretty good up until those titles, why are they all weathered font with zoom-out affect when everything else is all smooth and swirly? |

Design is great, fantastic. The criticism I would give is that I'm a bit bewildered on entering the site. All I see is "examining your computers anatomy", and it took about 2 minutes on 150K. I went off and did something else then I heard the music and I knew it had loaded... most people wouldn't take that time. If you had a loading bar or something it would help, and if it actually said loading as well. If you can, try to reduce the filesize, or perhaps load each page as it comes, as I notice pages load very quickly once you're in.

i myself would avoid making flash pages. the main reason is because some people dont have flash and would require a download (bad thing) and other thing is they can take a long time to load if youre not really good at flash (bad thing 2)

First off let me just say i think this site looks great. I love the swirly background thing.
Usually I hate sites that use background music but you can't knock a bit of dreadlock holiday, plus the option to turn it off is always on screen (after about 15 loops i did get a bit annoyed). The only thing that really got to me was the amount of time i had to wait after clicking one of your main links (vision, fine art, etc). The first time i saw the flying letters animation i sat and watched and was fairly interested in it, after the second time it got frustrating having to wait for the text to appear. While the animated text suits the style of the site well, after I have seen it once I don't want to have to sit through it for every page. An alternative would be perhaps to display the text first and then have the categories/links fly in afterwards. This way the user can be reading the text while everything else comes into view. cheers, DTR |

I like how the site looks, but I agree that the Flash animations are a little slow. I would speed them up to at least twice as fast.
