nesser , the images of the menu are pointing to your hard drive ... like file:///C|/Documents%20and%20Settings/Nesser/Desktop/tomstakeout/home.jpg . Edit your images location to point to your website directory. In your case the menu images are stored in to the root dir and the main logo picture in "/pictures/" .

Thank You! I think I fixed it now. Was there anything else that needed to be fixed?

lets start with some basic code faults shall we...

1) the link to your style sheet, should go with the <head> tags.

2) meta tags should also go inside the <head>

3) in your title you have '://', why?

those are the only major coding errors i spotted, but i only took a glance. I would, however, suggest (as i always do), table designs are old hat, moving to div's styled with css is usually considered better.

grrr... you've disabled right clicks on the history page , this stops nothing and only annoys decent honest folk.

your menu page is a little hard to read, some space between the sections, and a little colour might help.

last point for the moment, your front page is very heavy on the images, this slows loading time.

hmmm, where to start...

this is just a matter of personal taste, but that graphic on the index page freaks me out!! Little old ladies giving me a thumbs up sign?? Any way if that's the logo of Toms Take-out then you probably don't have any control over that.

I tend to think it's a good idea to make any links that would only link back to the current page not be a link. eg, on the index page, the home button would still be there but wouldn't actualy work and the alt text would say something like 'you are viewing the home page now'. I'll admit I don't always do this myself but think it's good practise and with only four pages it's not much extra work.

The history page (and any page where it won't break your formatting) should allow text to re-size, it renders a little small on my browser.

The Order page needs those order details to be big and bold and clear, not in a tiny fixed sized font. Pictures are worth a thousand words. Loose the directions and hit paintshop and get a map drawn up and use that instead. Also I don't see anywhere whether delivery is free or charged for, not on the menu page either.

The menu page:

1. needs color
2. needs better layout
3. try getting the table borders down to 1 pixel wide it looks tons better
4. again with the fixed small font size, even on the links at the top where it's not at all necessary
5. consider splitting the menu page up, it's very long at the moment.
6. how about fixing your table widths and letting the content wrap round and force the cells to be deeper
7. maybe get the border color same as the page background and then make the cell background color different and alternate it? (eBay style )

But keep it up and you'll soon have a good page that the Take-Out owner will be proud of.

Cheers, John.

Thanks

Thanks for all the suggestions and recommendations, I really appreciate all of them. I just got to fixing some of the script problems/mistakes, changed the navigation, & font. I will be starting my first year of college in a week and I'm taking a web design class so now I will be taught by a teacher, so hopefully I learn a lot and will be able to have a good site. The image on the main page is the manager and his grandmother so I can't take it off ...Thanks again for all of the tips and will soon be fixing things ohh and I have no idea what "divs" are so maybe I will learn that too

learning basic html in notepad is good, i use notepad for all of my coding.

the code output by dreamweaver requires tweaking before it can be considered 'decent' code
