http://www.uniquehookedrugs.com

Please review this site on any aspect you wish but mostly why Google wouldn't index it.

This site wants to sell handmade and homemade hooked rugs.
I'm a newbie who wants to learn.
"Good enough for a newbie" is not good enough for me.

Thanks!

Good to see you getting involved
My views on this site...

The google issue...I would suggest looking at this part of the devshed forums (http://forums.devshed.com/f108/s) which relates to search engine optimisation and try and look at stuff relating to recipricol linking.
From what I have learnt having a link to your website from another site that is spidered by Google reguarly should be good enough

So if u had the text "hooked rugs" in my signature and linked that to ur site if google crawls this thread it might add you? you should really ask in that forum I gave you.

I also had a quick search for "hooked rugs" and the first site in the list was one like yours, personal site relating to a hobby, maybe you should contact them share your work and hopefully share links, i'm sure it wouldn't hurt having a link from the top site in google's listing.

As for the design I don't like the navigation grey on the left, makes it look bland to be honest and I prefer to use a font like Verdana or Arial that is between sizes 8-11...but (and don't take this personally) your font may actually be better because I am guessing your audience is likely to be older and may not enjoy having to squint at the stylish (but small verdana font). All I can really say for suggestions for alternatives to your current navigation is to have a look around for tutorials and just generally look for things that are simple.

Good luck
