Local Host

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to ask this, but maybe someone can direct me to the right one.

I Have my computer set up to be a local web site. I gave it a name and I can get to the web site by typing in the name in the URL.

However, I am not able to use "Local Host". Whenever I type in "Localhost" I get the message: "Page cannot be found." I am trying to set up my machine for Visual Stuio. net and it cannot recognize the presece of the . net framework when opening a new project for asp.net. I think it is because of this problem with Localhost.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Yeah, I tried the http://localhost. Same problem.

The name of the site is Dukster131 and if I type that into the URL, it brings up my site. Like I said, my main concern is for ASP.net development. As it is configured now it does not recognize that ASP.Net 1.1 is loaded. I think it has something to do with the localhost settings.

Yes. It is only local for me. You can see it by using dukster.dnsalias.com, However that has nothing to do with why localhost won't work.
