Logo Design Help

I am embarking on my own web/print design venture and am playing with some logo ideas.

My focus is websites as business tools, not art projects, and as much as I like the funky designer type look it's not who I am so I am looking to convey:

- professionalism
- maturity/wisdom
- conservatism

Anyway, I have created some logos and would love some feedback (which one(s) you like/hate and why, etc).

If you have any thoughts about direction or changes I would love that as well.

Thanks. I like #2 also, but am trying to follow "the rules" and not use a photo or a fade, which is where all the others came from :-)

I don't care what anybody else says, I loved eds-logo-01-b.jpg. I'm aware that it probably doesn't scale very well, but the other logos were boring compared to it.

I like a bunch of the examples you gave. In fact, I think eds-logo-33.jpg could be really cool if you market yourself well.

Otherwise eds-logo-30.jpg was my favorite. I think it's all three of the things you were looking for: mature, professional, and conservative.

ok, so i worked through everything i got from here and a friend who is a graphic designer and came up with this one. it's on my website here

Looking at your site, the logo looks great. Goes very well with the colors.

However, I don't like that your site stretches to fill the screen. My monitor is 1680x1050 (larger than most visitors') and there's a ton of empty space. You might consider limiting your content to about 1000px wide so that viewers with large screen resolutions aren't negatively affected.

i must say my favourites are 30 / 32. professional clean and simple. simple variations could be put on the sites/ designs you make e.g. a pure black version .

2 is too samey. its been done many times before.
23 - Dated . Looks like one of the old school logos
26 - I dont think the font works with your criteria

i like the new one although i would say use a different picture instead of that small group of people. not a big fan of that pic! i've seen it sooooo many places on the web.

#32 would be quite versatile ... I liked that one.

your logo is suppose to be for some design solution company n it has no real design in itself.

I like number 2, but it can't be used, so i'd say 33.
