Top header looks very prof, simple, quick to load.
welcome banner doesn't quite line up on the left (although that may be your intention) with the left menu There doesn't seem to be any real content yet so hard to judge what you would be paying for, unless I have just missed the point completely ![]() Opinions expressed are not those of an expert, rather a nugget ![]() |

there seem to be quite a few errors with your xhtml, but they seem like simple ones, just use a validator and go through correcting.
you seem to have a problem with your top left menu bar, when i click on art. navigation is hard to judge due to the incomplete manner of the site, but it looks like it would be pretty clear and understandable. the only thing that really bugs me about the design is the rounded corners of the sidebar, they look jagged and IMO would be much better squared off. Infact i think the sidebar needs work to make it look more professional, to give it more of the look of the horizontal blue bar. i wouldn't pay for your site, i would make my own . However (i'll try and phrase this correctly), i wouldn't not recommend your site to someone who was asking for my advice. |

it's doesn't quite sit with the rest of your site, all your other things have some kind of gradient in the colour, but the sidebar is just blocks of colour.
it doesn't have the same look as your horizontal blue bar. |

So you think incorporating some graidents to the sidebar will help it look more in place? Ok, my only question is, the boxes ARE fluid to an extent and very much so veritcal-wise. If I have the background gradient too big, it will just cut it off right? Well, if I'm going to do that, I'll probably ahve to get rid of the curves on the top. Do you think that'll look ok?

i'd said get rid of the curved bits in my first post

hmm... maybe gradients for the whole thing would be a bad idea, perhaps just for the title bar bits? |

Yeah, I'm no professional web cruiser or anything, but I'd just like to say kudos on your navigation. I like the way it shows the navigation you've gone through just under the header and how you can go back and forth through each section and subsection (i.e. News->The Arts->Artistic). Also, I like the color scheme... Too many other people have put too many different colors or clashing colors; yours is easy to look at. On a sidenote, if you could get a scanner, I think that might be better than taking pictures of your......pictures. = P

I like the colour scheme and layout and the general style, you just need a lot more content about things other than the site itself. Oh, and your rounded corners have gone wonky on the right hand side of your about page
Cheers. |

Oh yes, I've decided to scrap the roudned corners (as you can see on the splash page). Of course it needs more content. I'm curretnly working on a database system and scripts for the management of content. |
