New web design layout

hi, ive created a new layout, its based a little bit on another site i seen
anyway could i just have your reviews please?
i know the logo doesnt really match that was just a quick design i made
so what do you think of the layout, colour scheme etc?

do you think i should stick with the logo and change it slightly to fit in a bit better or do you think i should totally change...there will also be text on it, i just didnt want to include it as i havnt bought the domiain yet

I always get nervous when people say their design is based off anothers. Hope it's not too close.

Anyways, the graphics look nice. I would put the menu up higher, but I'm not sure if you are trying to show off the graphic.

The colors work pretty well together. I've never been a fan of white text on a color background. I always find it harder on the eyes, but that is a personal preference that doesn't seem to be too widely shared. My only real suggestion, in terms of color, would be the headings (About this site, Scripts, etc...). I think they may be too similar to the background color. Maybe you could consider changing them so they stand out more.
