Review for - www.jumperbee.com
I just finished www.jumperbee.com.
Any critiques are extremely welcome! I am mainly interested in usability and style. Oh... However, please forgive the "Contact" sections form element. I know it is awful, but it’s currently beyond my control. Thanks, Dusty |

Hey, thats quite catchy, I like it. I'd be aware that the colours are really strong, and its a bit of a strain on the eyes after a while, you may get people clicking away (unless its my monitor
)Also, in moz the top section is smaller than the bottom. I expect its the PITA M$ box model problem with margins and padding. Take a look at: http://www.tantek.com/CSS/Examples/boxmodelhack.html for an explanation. Also, as you're using CSS for most of the styling, it's probably a good idea to use it for ALL of your styling, including using CSS for positioning, rather than tables: http://www.positioniseverything.net/ But appart from that, I think it looks cool ![]() |

I have to agree that the color combinations are not what I would use but if the site is geared twordes a younger crowd maybe thats good.

Ouch it does start falling apart in Mozilla doesn't it! I'll try and fix that.
Yeah, the colors were a big issue with me and the client. I agree that they strain the eye bit. Thanks Dusk & Executive! |

I like it, the header & navagation panel is cool, I wouldn't change that. The only thing is black text on that bright yellow is hard on the eyes.

Thanks dangerousjohnny!
I'm working on fixing the bugs in Mozilla. Can anyone tell me if the logo is showing up in the header? Also I'm getting a weird border anomaly around the mouse over linked pictures in the "Houses" and "Combos" sections in Mozilla. There's extra yellow around the bottom. If anyone has any clue what that might be I'd appreciate the help! Again, thanks everyone for the critiques! Dusty |

Quote:
You have a typo on that page -> Saftey Rules Also that pop up isn't big enough for the text in Mozilla. Either allow scrolling or do something else ![]() You also have a mistake that is causing your main image not to load -> you have "images\logo.gif" should be "images/logo.gif" Otherwise, I think the desing is quite wicked -> good job. The color scheme is ridiclous but I think it works really well ![]()

Fantastic!
Thanks for the help! Logo works now, and I have addressed the popup window issue you were talking about! Oh, and the Safety issue hehe... I appreciate the help jabba_29! I'm still oblivious to the weird border anomaly in Mozilla. Last edited by dustyreagan : March 12th, 2004 at 01:45 PM. |
