Review/Suggestions

Okay, I am putting up my site www.gop4me.com for the chopping block. Know its political rated, you can complain about contents on our site, I am looking for some honest feedback about possible features to add and ideas/complaints about general design and layout suggestions.

We are developing a new custom template for the site, but we probably won't have it done for a couple weeks and looking for suggestions before we get too deep into the new design.

"Remmend Us" in your menu...

Need to strip escape characters when you "redisplay" the search terms. Search for something with quotes in it, for example.

General layout looks good, but seems like it has too many colors. Text is small, but maybe that's just my browser (Moz).

Fixed the "Recommend us!", what I get for typing at 3 AM like today. Also, downloaded and added additional features for the CMS including an arcade and the ablity for users to rate & comment on articles to provide additional feedback. I am still trying to figure out some of the particulars of designing for Mambo. I've done work before for phpWebsite and the various Nuke systems, but have a Search Engine Friendly (SEF) system problem that's next on the list to fix.

Agree with Sep about the small text, I use Firefox too.
Maybe it is me being stupid or European or both, but I have no idea what GOP is, or really what the site's purpose is?
The News articles page has no news articles, but it says in your stats you have 31 currently.
Like the layout generaly - content,: not sure about.
