Review this job site: http://sepodati.realxl.net/txjobs/
I just finished up a job site that could use a little review/critique if you're up to it. This is a demo site, so you (hopefully) can't break it by adding/deleting jobs and resumes.
http://sepodati.realxl.net/txjobs/ Admin page is: http://sepodati.realxl.net/txjobs/admin_index.php Login: user Password: password Keyword searching may not be right on, as there are only 5 entries and it uses MySQL FULLTEXT searching. Let me know if you spot any design or logic errors. Submit any forms and restore any of the database you want. Restoring it to today's (9/15) database will reset it back to normal. ![]() Thanks. ---John Holmes... Last edited by Sepodati : September 16th, 2003 at 10:36 PM. |

Admin tool:
Under 'Navigation': > Post Job link does not function properly. Nothing really seems to happen. > Ditto for Post Resume > OK. Search doesn't work, either. I'm moving on to something else now. Under 'Administration' > Open and Closed job links function fine. Everything else appears non-functional. Under 'Newest job Postings' > Links to 2 new resumes does not take you anywhere. Jobs site: > Text is rather small. (Screen shot attached) > Search engine works, sort of. Tells me it found 2 jobs and 1 resume for a search, but there are no results printed, nor a link to where I could see them. Did I miss something in the form? I resubmit the form w/ 'full time' checked, no difference in the behavior. > I was able to submit a resume w/ the email address 'bob@bob.bob'. ![]() > After submitting the resume, I just get a 'thank you' message. Shoot. Did I type in my address correctly? It would be great if the form let me know what I just typed in, so I don't have to hit the 'back' button to verify. I hope some of that is useful... ![]()

When did you try this out? Navigation links are working as of now. The realxl server has been flaky, lately, so maybe that was causing issues. The links work. Quote:

I'm just checking for something@something and could care less if it's your real email or not. People are paying for job postings, so they can post a bad address if they want. ![]() Quote:

![]() I do appreciate you looking it over. Is it any better now? ---John Holmes... |

Okay... duh! I had a forward slash on the end of the admin URL, making it admin_index.php/, so it was messing things up. URL is corrected now. Bad typo, sorry.
