Review this site http://www.synergeez.com
Hi,
I really do appreciate this new forum! This is my first site I have ever created. Many thanks to those who have helped me in the devshed forums on particular questions on PHP and MySQL. I just switched it on about 3 weeks ago and would like to get any general / design / and layout feedback on it. http://www.synergeez.com It is a military art imaging site where people can purchase images of ships/aircraft and have them framed as well. Any suggestions (good or bad) will be highly appreciated. Thanks Dano |

I like the site a lot, clean layout and very easy to navigate.
But, w henever my mouse is over that window it constantly switches between hourglass and normal - the browser isn't working, I don't know what's going on but it was giving me a dreadful headache. It's like 1 second normal, 1 second hourglass, rotte through forever. Might want to fix that. =) |

HI Lisa,
Thanks for taking the time out to review it. I certainly don't want any headaches! What browser are you using and which page were you on that caused this hourglass back to normal switching thing to keep coming up? |

I run two pc's side by side, and it's happening on both - I thought it might be only that one but...
no idea how to troubleshoot this one tho, good luck =) |

see if it happens now on just this page --> http://www.synergeez.com
I made some changes to the code that might have been the problem. if it still does it, then this could keep me up all nighty thinkin about it Thanks Lisa Last edited by theDano : September 18th, 2003 at 04:03 PM. |

Amazing job. If I may ask - what was causing that? I've never seen it before.... |

Thank you Reactor and Lisa!
What was causing it was my logo.....See where the swoosh is before the "S" in Synergeez? Well I had an animated jpeg that would create the swooshing effect. So I just disabled that one script. That is a bummer because I liked that swooshing effect. I have not seen that happen (what you saw) on any machine that I have worked on. I have tested the site on many browsers with different versions to make sure it was compatible for most/majority of the people. Lisa you have been a great sport..... I know I am probably pushing my luck here......but what OS are you running from. Maybe that is the only thing I have overlooked since pretty much all the machines I have access to are W2000. Anyway thanks again....maybe I will have to create the swoosh as an animated gif (GIF colors were limited, that is why I used jpeg format for it) |
