Hi, Iv just recently build a new site which will check your website from 2 different locations and send you an SMS text message if it goes down.

It actually checks your site for a keyword or phrase that you set up rather than just success headers. So you will get notified straight away if you mess up a virtualhost config on the server and its serving the wrong site or the server is giving success headers but not displaying anything etc.

If you could let me know what you think, any improvements, pricing, is it something that you might want to use etc.

hi matt... interesting service.. however I would provide a trial or free service even if you put a limit of 2 messages (a month?) on it or something like that. or free service could just send email at the end of the day - just to demonstrate that the service works.

Hy Hayden, thanks for your comments. A free version or free trial is something that I have planned next.
