Site critique please..Be brutal if necessary!!

I have had my website online since January this year, we are getting a steady stream of visitors but no customers as yet. I need to find out where this site is going wrong, whether it is the layout, content or pricing . The actual website design is a template I purchased. All comments will be greatfully received.

Thank you
Andrea

Post .

Ok, I visited your site and I'll just give you my quick opinions on it.

First off, I think the layout is excellent, in fact the first thing I thought when I got onto it was 'this is gonna be expensive' cos its so stylish. But no complaints there - really nice and sleek.

Second, info on the site is a bit sketchy - don't take this the wrong way but it sounds like an expensive B&B alternative, which ties in with the price structure - it doesn't state weekly, monthly etc. which may put a lot of people off.

Thirdly, I don't know who your target audience is but I would think it would appeal to more of the Western European cultures like germany, spain and also people like the Japanese and Chinese, and of course the Americans, who like to experience all the hospitality and socialising aspect in England - I would suggest wider advertising - and make a few versions of the site for other languages available, place your ads in continental travel agents. I'm sure other cultures have free-ads like the 'Loot'. Also maybe have a meet the family section with a little profile on each house?

Apart from that I really don't know why it isn't taking off as well as you hoped Maybe it just needs the word of mouth thing to kick in. Anyways hope this helps and wish you every success in the future.

I agree - the site really looks professional and classy But maybe make the information a bit clearer...

Eg - state the differences between gold, sivler etc. more clearly. Hope it goes well
