Starting Out
Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum and new to web design and I'd appreciate some good honest advice.
I've made a couple of websites for friends' small businesses. My first URL was a freebie and my second URL (which is 90% finished) I plan to charge for. But what should I expect to charge at this early stage and what should I be aiming for in the future
I have a degree in business so my intention is to advise small businesses on how to position themselves as well as designing their sites and writing the copy (I'm currently doing a distance course in copy writing). I love what I'm doing and I want to get really good but there are so many programming languages to learn and software products to master I'm a bit overwhelmed as to where I should start to become truly professional. Are there any mentors out there that can tell me the best approach I should adopt to move forward from where I am right now?
Many thanks in advance!
Rozzy
