Version 1.2

So I posted my site about 10 months ago and it got so-so reviews.
10 months later and I have matured this thing by leaps and bounds.

Please check out www.crunkbox.com surf around.
Try out our bells and whistles - read an article (digg it if you like it)...Check out the artists' pages - heck roll through my main nav at least.

And let me have the benefit of your experience.

Thanks devsheders!

I actually don't really like it. Seems to busy to me... kind of reminds of myspace... but since I can't stand myspace, my opinion may not really be objective.

Anyways, some comments:
1) the top right where you have Signup Now As... the red font is a little hard to read.
2) If you click on Agents, and then hover over the links, there is a drop down that is very hard to read as it just goes on top of the text already there with a transparent background.
3) After clicking on Venues, the list on the left reminded me of google ads, which is initially what I thought they were, so I skipped over those for a bit.
4) It seems for the links at the bottom, they are white on all the pages except for News.. not sure if you meant to do that or not, but figured I'd point it out.

Thumbs up Hmm

You know I think you're heading in the right direction, I especially think your 'Vista-like' black theme fits well with your site. But I have to agree with the guy before me, there's way too much content scrunched in the screen and also I have a 1024x768 screen and I have to scroll to the right to view all of the content. Usually you wanna stay away from doing that.
But your on the right track, keep up the good work!

Austin

I like many of the inner pages. The homepage seems a little busy to me and the news page does align quite right in firefox. Overall pretty nice job.

I keep getting javascript errors as I browse around. Not digging the shiny effect on the nav buttons. Agents area seems to have a different skin. Buttons look better there but the transparent rollover thing is a little hard to read.

I'd skin the forums too so they look like the rest of your site.

The Boonex news widget doesn't really make much sense in the middle of your music related site. Think you need to pay for the license!

Late reply but I feel that many designers don't consider screen resolutions other than their own. I have a bunch of javascript bookmarks that resize my browser to various widths and heights. Take a peek at your page then put this in the address bar and take a look after:
Code:
javascript:window.resizeTo(1024,screen.height);window.moveTo(screen.width-1024,0);
This is how I always have my browser set, even though my current screen resolution is set to 1680x1050...
