Vulcan Ears Book Reviews

I put up this website a while back and have generally gotten positive feedback on it, but I thought I'd see what you guys think. I called it "book reviews" but it's really a review of anything I think deserves the attention: books, movies, etc. Since it was basically a distraction from homework and I'm lazy, I used NetObjects Fusion, which is my first exposure to the program, and a nice change from doing everything by hand.

Look pretty good -> though I think the greeny link color is too light for the page.
The HTML itself is pretty mince, but the site itself serves the prupose I think.

A very simple design but it seems clear enough. I like the fact that you are not filling up space with stupid adverts, I hate it when people do that.

One little comment, about your background image: on a large screen, the grey logo gets repeated. If that's intended fine.
Otherwise, I suggest you prevent the x and y repeat and maybe fix the background.
Others may disagree but that would be my personal preference.

Yup....I want it to be a nice place to visit. If I can get enough book sales to cover my costs I'll be happy, but I'm not gonna screw it up with ads :-)

It's good, but it gets a little bland as you scroll down, and your eye wants to wander abit, without really reading the content.
Some ideas:

1: replace the horizontal rule (hr) with an image, that uses a small version of oyour logo in the center, and continue the lines either side in blue, something like:

----------(=)-----------

maybe?

2: Remove the repeating background logo, and place a slightly smaller version in the background of each of the seperate book reviews cells, and have the background of each a reallt pale blue colour, to match your logo. This will (hopefully) make each review stand out and maje it easier to focus in the one you want to read. The background logo over laps reviews in places, and your eye seems to want to think they're connected, if that makes sense.

3: Have a 'go to top' link at the bottom of each review, lots of scrolling can become a chore.

4: Make the title links stand out a bit more; increase the font size for these links, and maybe make them bold.

Thanks! I'm not exactly sure how to do everything you suggest (particularly since I'm using Fusion for this site instead of coding it by hand, and it's a little picky about letting you change things by hand) but I'll look into it.
